As the Senior Human Resources Generalist, the individual will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department and Recruitment functions. In this role, the Generalist will handle a variety of departmental and administrative duties that support the organization, management, and the employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding.
This is a hybrid role and will be located within the Atlanta area.
Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to HR Director and partners with the Recruiter
Prepares, updates, and maintains jobs postings and set up trackers on company job board (ATS)
Manages the PTO companywide process and files PTO requests
Manages and deploys semi-annual Newsletter and Employee Survey
Assists the HR Director in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Sends out communication to new hires, independent contractors and supports the on-boarding process
Tracks employee and contractor separation and supports all aspects of the offboarding process
Responsible for E-Verify and I9 compliance
Collection and distribution of Security and HR Compliance Training
Supports the maintenance of the certification database
Completes reference checks, employment verifications and educational checks as needed
Responds to inquiries and answers general HR questions from employees and management
Creates updates and maintains HR forms and documentations
Performs accurate data entry
Creates, organizes and maintains electronic files for multiple departments
Manages and maintains confidential personnel files and other employee records and continuously reviews files for completeness and compliance
Supports Management and HR by generating memos, correspondences, and other documents
Sets up all employee email accounts and monitors multiple e-mail boxes
Administers, monitors and updates various software programs, Office Voicemail system, Badge ID Printer, mass text software and applicant tracking system
Creates employees badges and sends them out as well as other onboarding packages
Works closely with the internal IT team to get new hires Company assets
Creates and emails FedEx Labels as needed
Supports employee engagement initiates and special projects as assigned
May run errands on occasion
Perform other tasks as required
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
5 or more years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Associate degree is required
Prior experience with Microsoft 365 {Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc)
Prior knowledge of employment practices, and working knowledge of employment laws, including federal, state and other regulatory standards
Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
Sound judgment and strong HR acumen
Ability to work in an office environment as well as telework
Possess an approachable demeanor and strong motivation to go above and beyond
Capability to multitask and handle multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to be resourceful and problem solve quickly and at times work under pressure
The ability to work efficiently and effectively, while maintaining attention to detail
Self-motivated, results oriented, resourceful individual with effective time management skills
Ability to take direction well from multiple people and work alongside a remote team
Position continually requires demonstrated poise and tact
Excellent interpersonal and computer skills; Must have intermediate knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such as: (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through related experience
Must be able to work both on-site several times a week and work from home
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience.
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
SHRM or HRCI Certification is preferred
Prior Government or working for a Federal Contractor is highly preferred
