Job Description

Hoefer Welker has openings for Architectural Staff with 3 to 5 years of experience. The proper person for this role would be an Architecture graduate that has not yet obtained his license. This person will be responsible for efficiently and effectively participating, designing and delivering successful building projects according to office standards and processes. Responsibilities include involvement within project teams from schematic design through construction on projects, reviewing shop drawings and related submittals, coordinating consultants in all phases and directing the production of the projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture.
  • Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Performs analyses of design, planning, occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.
  • Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.
  • Writes reports and specifications.
  • Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.

Job Requiremetns

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience. 3-5 years of experience in an architectural practice on various projects is required.

Certification/Registration:

  • LEED Green Associate Accreditation a plus.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the courses of employment.

Qualifications:

Candidate must be proficient in Revit, Sketch-up, and Microsoft Office. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, and meet deadlines. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
