Responsibilities


Position Summary


As the Schedule Planning Analyst, you will impact PSA Airlines’ flight operations through responsibility to review PSA Airlines routes. Schedule Planning Analyst ensures that schedules meet standards to conduct a safe and efficient operation, track past and future schedules to establish trends and create opportunities to improve value within the AA network.


Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze SIMM files received from AA Network Planning to build future crewmember schedules for better utilization and efficiency in hotel, transportation and per diem costs
  • Build and foster relationships with AA Network Planning
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators to identify opportunity for improvement to network performance
  • Provide schedule related feedback for cost savings using key performance indicators
  • Streamline reporting processes for tracking Maintenance requirements
  • Investigate potential what-if scenarios to improve pairing production
  • Utilize S3RUS for pairing evaluation
  • Participate in the PWG for PBS integration and line construction
  • Develop reporting through Tableau for pairing and PBS line selection
  • Study Flight Crew productivity, utilization, reliability, and costs for current and future schedules
  • Develop and support Flight Crew workforce strategies and ad-hoc studies by conducting data-based analyses
  • Analyze utilization levels at a customer and/or seasonal level to enhance the crew staffing model
  • Assist with financial and operational implications of proposed marketing schedules on hotels and staffing to support long-term profitability
  • Respond to requests for data analysis studies from senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations and present to senior leadership for bi-weekly schedule reviews, monthly crew dashboards meeting and ad-hoc efficiency analysis
  • Prepares monthly HRIS reports for crew domicile changes
  • Develop/automate reporting capabilities and data extraction methods to build in process efficiencies that minimize manual analyses
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Specifics


Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in data analysis and airline operations
  • At least 2 years’ in Crew Scheduling/Planning or equivalent experience
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in Tableau or other data visualization software
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to the Manager of Crew Planning.

Authorities: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will not have direct reports.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
