Inspect all lines and related equipment in the assigned area, and to report all nonstandard and hazardous conditions, situations requiring maintenance, or any unusual conditions involving customer service.
Assist with the planning and preparation of the Line Clearance and Construction programs and to represent the Company on associated contract work.
Assist with load checks and the investigation of customer inquiries.
Maintain circuit diagrams, distribution maps, etc.
Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICANTS:
Must have a high school education or the equivalent; be in good physical condition with good eyesight, and be able to write clearly and legibly.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the Company's construction and operating standards and policies pertaining to the construction, operation and maintenance of the distribution lines.
Must be familiar with Distribution Department Bulletins, Accounting Instructions, General Orders, and other directives pertaining
to the assignment, including the Rules and Standards of Service for Electrical Companies, as published by the Maine Public Utilities Commission; and pertinent sections of the National Electric Code.
Must have a valid driver's license, without restrictions, and a safe, responsible driving record.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the classification.
