What You'll Do

• Oversee book development from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with publishing goals.
• Manage editorial schedules, deadlines, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
• Research market trends and competitive titles to identify new opportunities.
• Scout and recruit authors, illustrators, and publishing partners to expand our portfolio.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Design teams to optimize book success.
• Write and edit content, including jacket copy, front matter, and catalog materials.
• Mentor and lead junior editorial staff, providing guidance and feedback.

• 7-10 years of editorial experience in book publishing.
• Strong knowledge of the children's and adult book markets and publishing landscape.
• A sharp eye for market trends, audience interests, and sales opportunities.
• Proven experience in author relations, contract negotiations, and acquisitions.
• Excellent project management and multitasking skills to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to inspire and guide a team.
