Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Threat Intelligence & Response Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading incident response teams and will be well-versed in using Rapid 7 SIEMs and the Microsoft Security Suite of tools. This role demands a strategic thinker who can adapt to different IT infrastructures and create comprehensive security strategies to safeguard our organization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Threat Intelligence & Response team, providing direction, mentoring, and career development. Ensure that the team is equipped to handle complex security incidents and threats.

  • Incident Response: Oversee and coordinate the organization’s response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Develop and maintain incident response protocols and playbooks.

  • Threat Intelligence: Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence to relevant stakeholders. Stay updated on the latest threat trends and ensure that the organization is prepared to defend against emerging threats.

  • Tools and Technology: Utilize Rapid 7 SIEMs and the Microsoft Security Suite of tools to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Ensure that the security tools and technologies are effectively integrated and optimized for the organization's needs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and business units to ensure alignment of security initiatives with organizational goals. Foster a culture of security awareness and collaboration across the organization.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Prepare and present regular reports on the security posture and incident response activities to senior management.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the organization’s threat intelligence and incident response capabilities. Implement best practices and leverage new technologies to enhance the security program.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Several years of experience leading an incident response team, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex security incidents and threats.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Rapid 7 SIEMs and the Microsoft Security Suite of tools. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and security architectures.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Experience in mentoring and developing security professionals.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and respond to threats effectively. Ability to analyze threat intelligence and make informed decisions.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior management.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different IT infrastructures and environments. Experience working in diverse and dynamic IT settings.

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC is highly desirable.

  • Experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to information security.

  • Experience with cloud security technologies and practices.

  • Familiarity with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.

  • Proactive and forward-thinking mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
