Wood is currently searching for an experienced Subsea Inspector to work offshore and onshore on contract, supporting a variety of projects. Field Engineering & Inspection Solutions is a business area which is very dynamic, and we require a an Inspector to support our versatile market. We expect the contract to last 24 months.
The Subsea Inspector role is best suited to independent contractors, who are open to a contract for one year or more. The ideal candidate will have experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, have previous experience in subsea inspections and is interested in working from a vessel for multiple weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Visually inspect various topside and subsea oil and gas industry components both on and offshore, under the direct supervision of an Inspection Operations Lead or Project Manager
Carry out offshore inspection campaigns for three or more weeks at a time.
Generate inspection reports congruent with Client requests and applicable codes and standards.
Learn NEXUS IC Software, computer-based data management system including hardware, software and troubleshooting.
Be able to conduct a clear and concise, live video commentary during inspection campaigns Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of inspection equipment.
Assist in preparing work packs and database generation for offshore inspection campaigns Assist with the review of video and reports post campaign.

Expected:
Minimum of five years' experience conducting inspection campaigns of either subsea components or onshore equipment
Minimum of three years hands on experience with subsea oil and gas components and their basic operations CSWIP 3.3U / 3.4U underwater inspection qualification is preferred.
Must have knowledge and experience with traditional NDE methodologies (UT, MT) Strong knowledge of PC hardware / software networking is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English; additional languages an asset.
Willing and available to work offshore for 3 or more weeks at a time to complete inspection campaigns.
Must have (or be able to obtain within 14 days) offshore Health, Safety Security, Environmental and Assurance (HSSEA) requirements, such as: Offshore physical, BOSIET / HUET, TWIC, etc.
Physically capable of lifting 50lbs or more to assist in the mobilization and demobilization of campaigns Must pass a background check and DOT drug screening.
Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood.
