Reporting to the Director, Community Integration Services, the Assistant Director will oversee, in accordance with Maryland State's regulations (COMAR), well-established residential units for adults with developmental disabilities located in Howard County. This role requires an ability to relate well with staff and individuals served as well as family members. Facilitating and actively participating in Person Centered Planning for adults with Intellectual/Development Disabilities while collaborating with team members to assist individuals served obtaining their daily living and community integration goals is key to this role. Overseeing client's medical needs in collaboration in collaboration with the Delegating Nurse as well as insuring documentation compliance. In addition, the Assistant Director position is responsible for developing facility wide procedures to ensure the provision of active treatment and that client needs are met, identifying and analyzing practices and procedures to improve client services and recommending corrective action. The Assistant Director represents the Development Disabilities Residential Services Department on assigned committees, prepares departmental correspondence and directives, and acts in the absence of the Director of Community Integration Services.
