As a Data Architect,
you will lead
and support teams driving
improvements in
data analysis and integration across systems to
enhance mission operations and
ensure data integrity, security, and usability
for the organization.
In this role,
you'll
have the opportunity to:
Lead the development
and implementation of
strategic
data modernization initiatives
to support
the
advancement of data management
and governance,
cross-system integration,
analytics,
and data literacy.
Manage and secure mission-critical IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases that support law enforcement operations and scientific analysis
Maintain and troubleshoot specialized OT systems, such as laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, and data acquisition devices
Implement and
maintain
robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and critical systems
Collaborate with diverse teams of law enforcement professionals and scientists to understand their unique technological needs and provide tailored solutions
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and apply them to enhance our organization's capabilities

You will work across teams to drive data strategy, ensure data governance, and design efficient, scalable data infrastructures that support complex

Responsibilities of the Senior
Data Architect
include but are not limited to:
Designs and develops
data architectures that ensure efficient storage, retrieval, security, integration, and management of complex
data sets
.
Leads the development of enterprise data architectures, strategies, and solution recommendations in support of
strategic
business
and mission
objectives
.
Leads design of high-level conceptual and logical models that
facilitate
a cross-system/cross functional view of data requirements.
Establishes processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata and takes steps to assure metadata accuracy, validity, and quality.
Ensure data governance best practices are followed, including data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to build data solutions that support analytical and operational needs.
Provide expertise in the areas of data modeling, data lifecycle management, and advanced database technologies.
Conduct assessments of current data systems and recommend improvements or redesigns to support business growth and evolving data needs.
Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
Support
data migration and database consolidation initiatives to improve
performance and efficiency.
Supports the development of data visualization services to present complex data in an understandable and actionable manner
Promote best practice adoption and conduct training sessions to reinforce data literacy an
d analytics capabilities of the customer organization
