Job Summary: The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the chemical manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement to meet production goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operations Management: Direct and coordinate plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control, to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
•Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
•Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
•Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the plant's budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve financial targets.
•Production Planning: Oversee production schedules, inventory management, and resource allocation to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
•Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency, utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
•Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, supply chain, and sales, to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
•Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including key metrics, production output, and safety incidents.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
•Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
•Proven track record of successfully managing plant operations and leading cross-functional teams.
•Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
