Location: REMOTE

Salary: $100.00 USD Hourly - $105.00 USD Hourly

Description: Judge Healthcare is seeking a Physician for a REMOTE Physician Reviewer with one of our biggest clients!


Type: Contract to hire
Hours: Full Time 40 hours/week- 8 hours five days a week between 6-am-7pm MST. Weekends included.


Location: REMOTE!


Pay rate: $100-105/hr based on experience


Summary: Our Physicians utilize their clinical knowledge to provide an evidence-based approach to reviews, adjudicating requests for commercial and Medicare D medications. Conducting peer reviews allows a physician to provide an informed, objective voice to the review of coverage decisions. Our reviews often address controversial, cutting-edge treatment modalities, thereby allowing our physicians to stay abreast of emerging technologies.


Qualifications:


1. Current/active Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine only, by a medical specialty board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).


2. Skilled ability to navigate through several computer applications, simultaneously, working on 3 monitors, is required to complete the reviews. Top quality, high-speed cable (not satellite) internet connection is required.


3. Current, unrestricted, unencumbered medical license as required for clinical practice is REQUIRED.


4. Minimum of five years' full-time equivalent experience, providing recent direct clinical care to patients.


5. Understanding that reviews are based on clinical appropriateness that follow insurance plan criteria.


6. Prior experience administering utilization management and peer review programs is highly preferred. Must be able to sit at a desk for 8 to 10 hours per day, and efficiently utilize a computer, telephone and other general office equipment.
