Position Title: Backend Javascript Developer


Required Skills: Postgres databases (or ORM)/API integration work, Backend Javascript/TypeScript (Nest.JS highly preferred), open to "Full Stack Javascript" with backend focus


Nice to have skills: Nest.JS, Prisma ORM, Mono-repo libraries in Javascript, Node.js


Location: Washington, D.C. (hybrid)


Interview Process: 2 rounds (with HM & live tech screening)


Length: Will extend, YoY


• 4+ year Javascript Fullstack Engineer who can hit the ground running - working on a Full Stack Javascript web application

• Need exposure to Typescript/Javascript development - specifically Nest.JS or open to Node.JS if all other stars align

• Need exposure to Rest APIs on Javascript stack - connecting with an objective database

• Would ideally have exposure to PostgresSQL or another ORM database model/objective database

• Working within PostgresSQL database + Prisma ORM model (objective database that translated to SQL), backend api's connected to it - any exposure to similar models is great

• Nest.JS is the primary libraries - any exposure to mono-repo libraries is a plus

• Ability to bring process improvements to the team - similar frameworks or applications to bring fresh ideas

• Building Javascript web application tools that are not standard logic, more complex code

• Will be annotating data to lead to ML algorithms - will get exposure to ML/AI groups, any exposure there is a plus

• Additional UI experience is a plus, but should have an understanding of UI - integration and unit testing, de-bugging, and testing each other's features

• He doesn't have many people who can mentor, the more independent they can work the better
