Your Role



As the ERP Deployment Lead for the our Life Science business, you will lead large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployments from conception to implementation as part of a global ERP transformation program. With strong business and IT acumen, you will collaborate closely with business and IT teams to ensure the successful deployment of our global process and system template to our entities and sites around the globe. You ensure that the planning and execution align with our strategic objectives while integrating seamlessly into our global system landscape. Your leadership will drive operational efficiencies and contribute to our digital transformation.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployment projects within the overarching global ERP transformation program.

  • Plan and structure deployment strategies based on global template principles, leveraging best practices from the Life Science industry.

  • Oversee full deployment lifecycle, from initial planning, template confirmation, localization, testing, go-live, and hypercare.

  • Lead and mentor internal project teams and external partners, fostering accountability and performance excellence.

  • Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring engagement and acting as a bridge between business, IT, and executive teams.

  • Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting, approvals, and adjustments as needed.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively managing dependencies and critical paths to keep deployments on track.

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality and validation standards, continuously improving deployment processes for efficiency and consistency.

  • Ensure high standards in data quality along the deployment cycle starting from data cleansing, -extraction, transformation and loading.

  • Leverage SAP S/4HANA technology innovations, collaborating with strategic partners to optimize business outcomes.


Who You Are




Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technology related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 10 years' experience in ERP deployment within large-scale, global environments, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's Degree in a relevant technology related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Expertise in project management, with a solid understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, and operational business processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing ERP systems, ensuring compliance with project standards and timely delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP methodologies, with the ability to optimize systems and provide functional recommendations.

  • Fluent in English (mandatory). Proficiency in German or another European language is a plus.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in requirements gathering, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Outstanding communication skills, able to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engage across all organizational levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing and executing tasks in high-pressure environments.

  • Change management expertise, with a strategic approach to driving user adoption and engagement.

  • Financial acumen and understanding of data flows across key functional areas (e.g., Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales/Trade, HR).

  • Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with both business needs and IT requirements.
