Purpose of Role
The Site Manager ensures work gets done by overseeing operations, maintaining safety standards, and supporting team development. This role upholds stability by monitoring performance, reinforcing accountability, and ensuring process implementation and documentation. By identifying and resolving efficiency, quality, and safety issues, the Site Manager drives continuous improvement and operational consistency to ensure short and long-term success. The Site Manager maintains clear communication and collaboration with the customer to strengthen partnerships, accountability and engagement. Leading with empathy and fairness, the Site Manager promotes a human-centered workplace where family members feel valued, supported, and aligned with organizational values.
Areas of Accountabilities
People Development and Engagement
Lead team members in accordance with our Core Values and Strategic Vision.
Complete Onboarding for all new employees.
Complete KA reviews for all team members, detailed annual PEAs, and continuous value-added feedback.
Identify the training needs of team members and provide opportunities for skill development.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by encouraging open communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
Maintain procedures to ensure the site is adequately staffed with the necessary skills to meet customer needs.
Team Operations and Productivity
Establish team accountabilities and enhance safety awareness, ensuring adherence to safe work practices, safety regulations, and taking prompt action to address any safety concerns.
Oversee day-to-day operations, manage priorities, and ensure the team is aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor site cleanliness, practices and accountability.
Ensure that established labor and expense budgets for the facility are met and consistently maintained.
Oversee the planning and allocation of resources during each shift to effectively meet customer needs.
Continuously monitor key production performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
Communication and Relationship Building
Build strong relationships with team members to understand their needs, concerns, and aspirations. Cultivate a sense of trust, growth and mutual respect.
Promote healthy conversations and develop a safety environment for everyone.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with distribution center leadership and staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
5+ years supervisory experience or education equivalence
Excellent Leadership Skills including strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with JDE system a plus.
The ability to interact with and train a diverse group of personnel.
Ability to work cross functionally.
