About Us:  The Loading Chute opened in July 2024 in Hampton, NE.  The Loading Chute is an elevated bar and grill experience that serves the community of Hampton and surrounding friends.  We pride ourselves on being true farm to table as we use our own beef from the farm and also smoke our own bacon and brisket, in-house.  Our restaurant seats about 120 people and includes an outdoor patio.  Our menu includes steaks, hamburgers and other beef products along with chicken and salad options.   We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic teammates that will provide customers with a unique and exceptional dining experience, strive for excellent customer service and become part of a team that works hard together but also supports each other.  We strive to have a friendly and family oriented environment for not only our customers but our staff as well.  Teammates are offered a competitive wage, excellent tip opportunity, bonuses and merit raises.  Staff are provided an employee discount on food that also includes their spouse or significant other.  The Loading Chute has proved to be a popular and frequently busy restaurant which requires teammates to be able to work fast paced and detail oriented.     LINE COOK

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • A passion for food service and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
SERVER

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using Toast.
  • Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations through bussing and organization.
  • Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments efficiently.
  • Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to an enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and staff.
DISHWASHER
  • Thoroughly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware and utensils used during the scheduled shift
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish pit area, including proper sanitation practices.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies, communicating needs to management.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines and restaurant requirements
