Job Description:

Position Title: Seasonal Installer, Level 1

General Purpose: The Seasonal Installer, under the direct supervision of the Foreman, is responsible for executing tasks necessary for the installation of synthetic grass and minor landscaping projects across various settings including residential, municipal, and commercial areas. This position predominantly involves outdoor work environments such as playgrounds, golf greens, dog facilities, lawns, and sports fields. The Installer’s work must adhere to ForeverLawn installation standards and be completed within specified budgets and timeframes.

Expected hours and wages:

· Part time, As-needed – Weekly hours are not guaranteed as weather and workload can be unpredictable

· Wage range between $18/hr to $23/hr depending on skills and experience

· Probationary period of 100 hours worked required to qualify for wage increase

· Some travel required, which includes meals, lodging and overnight bonuses

Essential Functions: The following statements represent the general duties and expectations of this role. They do not encompass all responsibilities or tasks, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

· Work collaboratively each day with the Foreman loading and unloading materials; seaming, gluing, cutting and positioning tur;, and installing various components such as boards, base aggregates, safety foam, and infill materials.

· Safely operate manual landscaping tools and power tools, including but not limited to power drills, compressors, compacters, power brooms, and saws, in addition to heavy equipment like Bobcat and mini-skid.

· Enhance team quality by assisting in recruiting top talent and participating in training for product knowledge, as well as ForeverLawn installation standards.

· Quickly and amicably resolve any conflicts or miscommunications, arrive punctually for work, and exemplify a positive work ethic.

· Ensure the safe utilization of tools, machinery, and equipment, complete all necessary safety training, and report incidents as per established safety procedures.

 

 

Qualifications: To be successful in this position, an individual must accomplish each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Must have valid driver’s license

· Ability to ask clarifying questions, utilize efficient language, listen respectfully, and respond clearly while maintaining professionalism.

· Possess a positive and willing attitude towards work, team, and customers

· Demonstrated experience working with the tools outlined above.

 

Education, Experience, and Certifications: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred in the construction industry, along with a sound understanding of OSHA regulations, construction equipment, and workflows.

 

Physical Requirements: The physical demands required to perform this job satisfactorily include: egularly standing, walking, bending, and other movements typical for operations involving heavy machinery and power tools. The individual should be physically capable of independently lifting and transporting up to 100 pounds.

 

Working Conditions: Predominantly outdoor construction sites that are susceptible to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind; occasional indoor installations; typical noise levels associated with construction environments.
