We're looking for a Cinematic Animator to collaborate closely with Animation Leads in defining and maintaining high-quality cinematic animations. You'll also play a key role in improving our processes and pipelines. A key part of the role involves editing motion capture data to help bring detailed character performances to life. We involve animators in every step of the process, from setup to shoots, and we're excited for you to contribute to that process while also creating high-quality hand- keyed animations. A solid understanding of body mechanics and engaging performance is crucial for us. Your experience as a game developer will be invaluable as you work closely on various aspects of our game's story content.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Albany NY .

What you bring to the table:

• Collaborate with Animation Leads to define and maintain high-end cinematic animations.

• Learn and enhance our processes and pipelines.

• Edit MoCap data for detailed character animations.

• Create high-quality hand-keyed animations with solid body mechanics and engaging performances.

• Be willing to animate across various game development areas.

• Assist in motion capture shoots preparation and participation.

• Participate in peer reviews, exchanging team feedback.

• Understand scope and risk related to your work.

• Work with Leads to advance your career path.

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as an Animator

• Demonstrate the ability to animate with high-quality timing, weight, and lip sync.

• Exhibit strong instincts for both realistic and stylized motions.

• Be task-driven, self-motivated, and proactive in your work.

• Show initiative in creating solutions and solving problems.

• Adapt and remain agile to changing requirements in game development.

• Possess experience animating in Maya or another 3D program.

Bonus Points

• Experience collaborating with small animat ion teams and helping drive quality.

• Passion for Film and Video Games

• Familiarity with Pre-vis

• Experience with m otion c aptur e

• Work ing with facial animation

• Have experience working with game engines.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
