Responsibilities


Position Summary

The Planning Program Manager – Technical Operations is responsible for actively monitoring the fleet’s deferrals, managed programs and cabin conditioning. This role works with the business units to ensure an effective and efficient completion rate for Fleet Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL) and Non-Essential Equipment (NEF). The Planning Program Manager participates in the accusation of new and used aircraft and return to/from lessors/brokers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Focus on timely clearing of aircraft deferrals/faults, MEL, CDL and NEF logs.
  • Maintain the Cabin Compliance Program and coordinator with American Airlines regarding issues
  • Ensures MELs are scheduled accordingly at the proper maintenance base
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Operations Control, Maintenance Operation Planners (MOPs), Material Coordinator Desk (AOG Desk) and Maintenance Bases to optimize scheduled Remain Over Night (RON) maintenance visits to clear deferrals
  • Researches deferrals and ensures the most current and correct updates are in Maintenix
  • Coordinates with the Material Coordinator Desk to ensure required parts are either in the maintenance base where deferral is scheduled or are moved to the scheduled maintenance base.
  • Follows-up with maintenance bases to ensure appropriate deferral comments are added to Maintenix.
  • Manages the day to day and strategic requirements of managed programs
  • Work hand in hand with the CCC facilities to ensure standards of work and best practices are followed
  • Point of contact for all managed programs including but not limited to in-seat power and WIFI.
  • Represents Maintenance Planning as technical specialist and supports team’s initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain and manage the cabin compliance program at PSA airlines
  • Be a Point of Contact for all lease returns, and new aircraft acquisitions
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics


Qualifications

Required

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years CRJ technical experience.
  • Strong ability in the use of technical data such as Wiring manuals, Structural Repair manuals and Engineering repairs.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning or a relative field.
  • Above average knowledge of FAA regulations.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Technical Operations and Fleet Administration.

Authorities: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
