Responsibilities


Position Summary

The Manager of AQP is responsible for the Advanced Qualification Program for all Pilots. This role oversees the development, modification and approval process of curriculum improvements for Pilots. This role has delegated authority and responsibility to ensure PSA Flight Training meets regulatory and operational goals. This position will interact with PSA Directors/ Managers, Union Representatives and Regulatory Agencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for AQP development.
  • In collaboration with Director of Training, develop goals specific to PSA AQP Program
  • Communicate program objectives, goals and accomplishments to management, check airmen and instructors.
  • Develop and manage Instructional System Design process mechanisms.
  • Develop software requirements and specifications for required databases
  • Oversee content, currency and standardization of training curricula and required documents.
  • Oversee data collection and reporting.
  • Compile AQP Data for review by Training Management Team, Instructor/Evaluator Calibration.
  • Review and submit required monthly FAA AQP data submissions.
  • Analyze data for trends and recommend changes to the training curriculum,
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, DOD, IOSA.
  • Manage Distance Learning platform.
  • Ensure the maximum utilization of the capabilities of the corporate Learning Management System.
  • Utilize the Safety Risk Management system to identify risks and mitigations associated with changes to the pilot training program.
  • Oversee changes to the PSA Pilot AQP Training Manual.
  • Interface with the FOQA, LOSA, ASAP teams.
  • Prepare revision to the Pilot AQP Training Manual and submit proposed changes to the FAA for approval.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics


Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with FAA related databases
  • 3-5 years of experience with AQP oversight, management, and delivery
  • Project or Program development and management experience
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous CL-65 Type rating
  • Part 121 flying experience
  • Experience with MINT
  • Experience with Data Analytics
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools, i.e. Tableau

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to the Director of Training.

Authorities: None

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
