Responsibilities


Position Summary

The Maintenance Planning Manager impacts PSA Airlines' growth by overseeing that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are executed, performed, and completed in an effective and efficient manor while maintaining focusing on long term strategic and tactical goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and long-term aircraft maintenance plans to help drive maintenance performance.
  • Oversee department to effectively implement strategic initiatives to deliver performance-based results.
  • Ensures that procedures are established and administered efficiently.
  • Work with the DMPS to develop and implement long term strategic and tactical goals.
  • Oversee all required maintenance items that are scheduled and issued within time limit intervals specified by the Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and approved by the FAA.
  • Oversees that all Maintenance Planners have been are properly trained to complete their duties and responsibilities.
  • Recommends changes or new procedures to improve departmental and systems performance.
  • Oversees compliance with the policies and procedures contained within the company's GMM.
  • Supervises the forecasting, planning, and scheduling of aircraft checks, engine replacements, component changes, ADs, service bulletins, modification orders, and fleet campaign directives.
  • Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory imposed time limits of checks, ADs, and components.
  • Oversees and coordinates the activities of outsourced maintenance.
  • Delegates duties as necessary, although this does not relieve the Manager of the responsibility.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics


Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • At least two years of previous leadership experience.

  • Three to five years in aircraft maintenance.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and work closely with various cross-functional groups in a matrix environment across multiple locations.

  • Strong computer skills with intermediate level of Microsoft Office Programs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel Program.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.

  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Experience with relational databases, Tableau, and other related software.

  • Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.

  • Working knowledge of Aerros by Aerostrat long range maintenance program.

Additional Information

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Planning and Heavy Maintenance.

Authorities: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
