Job Description:

Position Summary:



Typically manage several operations within the Facilities Management function. Will have experience and business knowledge relevant to services provided. Develop and maintain operations and deliver frontline services in response to business demands. May lead the introduction of service change, investigate more complex issues and collaborate with service providers and other departments. This position will be located at our Tarzana site.



Responsibilities:



  • Manage technical support to multiple facilities management teams on a daily basis ensuring guidance, instruction and training is provided


  • Oversee long-term resource planning for the function by collecting information on needs from others and escalating them properly


  • Be a technical owner of a specific area within the Facilities Management Function with an understanding of processes and equipment employed


  • Lead the planning, managing of major facilities management projects from concepts to implementation, or provide expert technical support to project managers


  • Manage finances, oversee costs for several cost centers and provide input to capital improvement planning.


  • Keep own knowledge of best practices and new developments up to date


  • Lead trouble shooting activities to resolve existing problems, make complicated judgements and anticipate future developments in AstraZeneca's Facilities related needs


  • Manage customer needs and expectations across a broad range of services to provide a high quality, and cost-effective service


  • Ensure performance across team by supporting individual development plans for own team and applying new tools


  • Employ prepared information to discuss, plan and help manage improvement plans, priority setting, investigation reports, quality or performance improvement recommendations


  • Develop contacts across a range of departments and external groups being a representative for own plant, operation or other responsibilities


  • Support ongoing change management and continuous improvement and development of own team.





Education, Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 10+ years of facilities/industrial maintenance experience with 3+ of facilities leadership experience or equivalent.


  • Project and people management. Experience with buildings automation system, control systems, and automation components.


  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.


  • Asset reliability skills.


  • Understanding of multiple aspects of physical plant, technical equipment and other elements of facilities management




The annual base salary for this position ranges from $89,874 to $134,811. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
