Job Summary

The Human Resources team at Comcast, is looking for a collaborative, innovative, HR specialist. You will be joining a high-performing team of HR professionals striving to create an engaging, inclusive and dynamic work environment across our global organization. This role will be based in Philadelphia and will report to the SVP, Cable HQ & Corporate HR.
In this role, you will provide administration support to the SVP of HR and VP of HR, serve as a partner to the HR operational support. Partnering with US Human Resources and colleagues across multiple business units, you will help drive HR projects and efforts that span employee engagement, performance management, talent development, talent acquisition and retention, compensation planning, and diversity, equality and inclusion efforts.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Assures the planning and coordination of the executive's calendar of events; schedules appointments, prepares detailed itineraries, complete with travel accommodations etc.

  • Maintains and updates correspondence, various contact databases to ensure timely, effective communication, incoming/outgoing mail and communication.

  • Builds strong rapport across the team at all levels and excel as a problem solver.

  • Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, creating presentations (Microsoft Suite) and following up on action items.

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.

  • Assist with travel arrangements, expense reporting, and invoice management.

  • Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations.

  • Support and/or ownership of various Technology and Product People Experiences programs and events, including planning, vendor management, execution, and program/event evaluation.

  • Using data, and anchoring to program objectives, determine how programs can continue to in partnership with SLT.

  • In partnership with the SVP, VP and SLT support event planning and execution for in-person, hybrid, and virtual team events including speaker and guest support, vendor management, and communications support.

  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement events and team meetings across the organization.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Screens telephone calls, visitors and letters; answers routine questions, furnishes information, and directs inquiries to the appropriate team to ensure timely follow-up.

  • Displays a strong knowledge of desktop tools such as the Microsoft Suite of Office products, electronic mail systems, virtual meeting tools and software and capacity to train on customized systems and databases for the team.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Manages and administers employee service, recognition and other engagement activities such as the annual holiday party and other employee events.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Team Support with Talent Management & Operations Activities:

  • Coordination/Ownership of invites distributions & team events in partnership with SLT

  • Lead to coordinate onboarding activities for new hires (ie Mobile, Desk Set up, equipment, access requests, etc)

  • Partner with Operations team on running standard reports to support generalist team during key milestones (engagement reporting, rosters etc)

  • Partner with Operations Manager on ensuring team meeting/distribution lists are accurate across various stakeholder groups due to sensitive content. (SLT, Dir+, All team etc)

  • Support talent management activities in partnership with operations manager to support talent management milestones (ie presentation support, logistics for talent reviews, preparation)

  • Coordination of team events ie Team Quarterly Development days to ensure agendas, communications and relevant content is organized/tested etc.

  • Support adhoc projects supporting any communications and coordination efforts across the senior leadership team.

  • Coordinates internal and external departmental events including small and large scale event and project management as needed.

  • Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of internal and external meetings and presentations; gathers and prepares necessary materials and/or equipment and technology support
