Caterpillar's Earthmoving division is seeking a Senior Sales Support Consultant responsible for the North American Medium Wheel Loader Work Tools in Peoria, IL. This position is pivotal in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between the sales team and the product group. As a Senior Sales Support Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring that Caterpillar's product offerings meet market demands.



What you can look forward to in this role:



  • Revenue Growth : Be responsible for the MWL (Medium Wheel Loader) business in North America, focusing on increasing revenue and achieving sales targets.
  • Metrics Focus : Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as Work Tool yield and Work Tool ratio to drive business performance.
  • Product Liaison : Act as the liaison between the Work Tool Go-to-Market team and the MWL product group to ensure the correct product offerings are available in the market. This includes prioritizing unmet customer needs through the NPI process.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with the Work Tool Go-to-Market team, Caterpillar dealers, and customers to understand market needs and ensure effective product placement.
  • Microsoft Suite Proficiency : Utilize Microsoft Suite tools for data analysis, reporting, and communication.
  • Commercial Sales : Engage in commercial sales activities, working closely with the dealer network to promote and sell Caterpillar products.
  • Machine Application Expertise : Develop expertise in machine applications to recommend the appropriate Work Tools to customers and explain their benefits.
  • S&OP Involvement : Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align sales strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Supply Chain Coordination : Liaise with the Supply Chain group to ensure that Work Tools are adequately stocked and available to support sales efforts.

  • Effective communications skills to collaborate with internal business partners and Caterpillar dealers



Top Candidates for this position may also have:



  • Experience in sales support, commercial sales, or a related field, preferably within the construction or heavy machinery industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, Caterpillar dealers, and customers
  • Ability to liaise with the Supply Chain group to ensure adequate stock and inventory to support sales efforts
  • Experience in S&OP processes to align sales strategies with operational capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field



Additional Information:



  • The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available
  • Caterpillar is a hybrid work environment, requiring 3 days per week of onsite work

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
