Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Systems Architect our NYS Insurance Fund Team located in New York, NY (Hybrid).
Key Responsibilities:
PRS (Integrated Policy Renewal System) / EPS (Earned Premium System) An in-house transaction processing system designed for Workers Compensation Insurance premium calculations, adhering to NYCIRB guidelines for both advance and earned premium types.
Main Modules: Declarations, Renewals, Rebills, Audits, Audit Rescind, and Audit Adjustments.
Tasks: Systems enhancements and production fixes.
Tasks: Systems enhancements and production fixes.
Features: Tracks payment variances against initial policy renewal estimates and generates reports for business users on various PayGo-related metrics.
Tasks: Systems enhancements and production fixes.
Diaries and Workload Distribution System An in-house integrated diary and workload distribution system for tracking manual underwriter reviews across various underwriting modules.
Batch Transaction Reporting Modules for Brokers and Payroll Agencies A batch reporting system for tracking policies and providing daily data to brokers in .al3 format. Also supports payroll agencies enrolled in PayGo programs.
84 months of experience utilizing NYCIRB (New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board) guidelines and regulations to develop and support software applications for analyzing and processing Workers' Compensation and Disability insurance premiums. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in implementing state Workers' Compensation insurance application software.
84 months of experience in estimating workers' compensation experience ratings and implementing policy renewals, rebills, and audits. The candidate must have a strong understanding of workers' compensation rating methodologies, policy lifecycle processes, and compliance requirements to ensure accurate and efficient policy administration.
84 months of experience in developing software systems to support Workers' Compensation and Disability Insurance accounts receivable billing using the Accrual Accounting Method. The candidate must have expertise in designing and implementing billing solutions that ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and efficient premium collection processes.
84 months of experience with Oracle PL/SQL, including expertise in Packages, Types, Objects, Triggers, and Advanced Queuing. This experience must be in the development of applications for the State Workers' Compensation industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and supporting efficient policy management, and premium calculations.
60 months of experience with ACORD AL3 data format and transformation for Underwriting and Claims applications.
60 months of experience as a .NET application developer, utilizing C# and Visual Studio 2019 or newer. The candidate must have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining .NET applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and adherence to industry best practices.
48 months of experience with Redwood ActiveBatch job scheduling, including expertise in designing, implementing, and managing automated workflows to support enterprise job scheduling, process automation, and system integrations.
48 months of experience in web browser application development using JavaScript, CSS, XSLT, and HTML. The candidate must have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and responsive web applications, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and adherence to industry best practices.
Features: Automates workload distribution based on business parameters and redistributes tasks in case of delays or heavy workloads. Integrated with underwriting modules to close diaries automatically based on completed activities.

Experience Required:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $68.00 and $73.00.
