Job Summary:



The Heart Valve Sewer is responsible for the precise and intricate hand-sewing of biological and synthetic materials used in the manufacturing of heart valves. This role requires excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under a microscope to ensure high-quality, life-saving medical devices.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform delicate and precise hand-sewing of heart valve components following detailed specifications and work instructions.


• Operate under a microscope for extended periods to ensure accurate placement and stitching.


• Inspect materials and completed work for defects, ensuring strict quality control standards are met.


• Maintain a clean and sterile work environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.


• Document work processes and production data accurately.


• Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to continuously improve sewing techniques and product quality.


• Participate in training and certification programs as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in sewing or fine handcraft work is a plus.


• Prior experience in fine hand-sewing, embroidery, or similar detail-oriented craftsmanship.


• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.


• Ability to work with precision under a microscope for extended periods.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions.


• Comfortable working in a regulated, sterile manufacturing environment.
