Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility, logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations in addition to switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment.
Reports to: Area Safety Manager through the Lead Security Officer
Pay Rate: $17.20/hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility .
Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
Writing investigative reports: Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, work place violence, and other incidents as needed
Conduct rounds of the plant to check physical facility security
Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
Education: High School diploma or its equivalency preferred
Experience: Supervisory and investigative skills helpful but not mandatory, necessary training provided for successful applicants.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Special Skills: Excellent communication skills are a necessity and applicant must possess the ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Management personnel, and visitors. Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
