SUMMARY: The Department of Health & Exercise Science at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure track position (rank commensurate with qualifications and experience) to begin Fall 2025, to contribute the success of the Athletic Training Program through excellence in teaching, research and service.

JOB DESCRIPTON:

The Rowan-Virtua Rita & Larry Salva School of Nursing and Health Professions invites applications for a 10-month tenure-track faculty position (rank commensurate with qualifications and experience) in the Department of Health and Exercise Science's Athletic Training Program, starting September 1, 2025.

We seek outstanding candidates who hold a Ph.D., DAT, DPE or Ed.D. in Athletic Training or related field. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally funded research program through outstanding scholarship, to lead the AT Program in assisting the departmental growth in scholarly activity and contribute to the University's achievement and maintenance of Carnegie R1 designation, to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students, and to contribute at an appropriate level to service to the Department, School, University, and wider/professional community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Teach courses within the Pre-Athletic Training Curriculum and the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program (ATP)

2. Conduct rigorous scholarly activity and successfully compete for external funding consistent with Rowan University's research trajectory

3. Assist with Athletic Training Program administration

4. Provide service to the Department, College/School and University
