Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Modernize in-house data systems to state-of-the-art technologies with minimal business interruption.
  • Build deep knowledge of SiC manufacturing processes and incorporate into data system designs.
  • Build and support data pipelines interfacing with enterprise applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Support customer-facing applications, such as Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and label-printing.
  • Practice sound source code version control and technical documentations.

Education & Experience


  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or similar STEM field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering with SQL database components.
  • Experience in semiconductor or materials manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Skills & Other Requirements


  • Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor communications to audience with varied educational and professional backgrounds.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge in SQL database design.
  • Expertise in at least two of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Scala, OCaml, Go, Rust, ASP.net.
  • Sound understanding of fundamental computer science: algorithms, data structures, and programming paradigms.
  • Best practices in collaborative software development: version control, flowcharts, technical documentation, and clear code comments.
  • The role is a fulltime on-site position in Easton, PA, with occasional visits to Pine Brook, NJ.

Working Conditions

Primarily office work on a computer. Occasional light tasks on the factory floor are possible.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to sustainably work on a computer full-time.
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks on factory equipment.

Safety Requirements

The focus of this role is modernizing and supporting in-house data systems, such as technical databases, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and customer-facing data applications such as Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).A successful candidate would be an industrious individual with in-depth understanding of SQL databases, web-based user-interfaces, software engineering, and a general understanding of enterprise software systems. A background in engineering, materials science, or natural sciences is a plus. The ability to work both independently and within a team, as well as a strong communication skill are indispensable for the role. Job location is in Easton, PA.
