We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - AI/ML to lead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation AI solutions on Arm architectures. This role will drive AI model optimization, ML infrastructure, and developer engagement to accelerate AI adoption across the Arm ecosystem!
Responsibilities
Design and optimize AI and machine learning infrastructure for Arm-based platforms, ensuring high efficiency and scalability.
Work on on-device AI acceleration, optimizing LLMs, computer vision, and deep learning models for Arm hardware.
Lead the AI/ML developer API strategy, enhancing tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch) for seamless AI deployment.
Enable AI hardware acceleration on Arm-powered GPUs, TPUs, and NPUs, improving inference speed and energy efficiency.
Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and AI research teams to drive ML innovation.
Develop scalable AI solutions that integrate across mobile, edge, and cloud environments, ensuring industry-wide adoption.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering innovation in AI-driven computing.
Stay ahead of industry trends, contributing to AI research, publications, and open-source initiatives to enhance Arm's ML capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years in AI/ML software engineering and system architecture, with a strong focus on AI deployment and optimization.
Technical Expertise:
Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
Experience in AI model compression, quantization, and distillation for edge deployment.
Deep understanding of LLMs, transformers, and computer vision architectures.
Familiarity with ML infrastructure, compilers (TVM, MLIR), and distributed training techniques.
Leadership & Problem-Solving:
Proven ability to lead large-scale AI initiatives, balancing technical innovation with business impact.
Strong multi-functional collaboration skills to bridge AI, software, and hardware teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AI-driven developer ecosystems, improving AI tooling and frameworks.
Strong background in AI hardware/software co-optimization, particularly on Arm architectures.
Open-source contributions or published research in top-tier AI conferences.
Lead AI innovation for one of the world's most influential semiconductor companies.
Work on cutting-edge AI models and ML infrastructure, shaping the future of AI computing.

Salary Range:$273,020-$369,380 per year We value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
