Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team!
What the position entails: Develops the Quality Plan ensuring customer expectations are met. Develops, leads and positively impacts the Quality Culture of the facility. Provides staff support to plant supervision with day-to-day quality issues. Monitors the Quality System to assure total compliance with the Quality Plan.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide active and impactful leadership with quality solutions and problem-solving tools to improve quality, reduce cost and waste and/or improve cycle time within the facility. Drive issues to resolution, by setting quality expectations, teaching and mentoring others, and developing forward thinking, proactive steps to define the quality culture of the facility. Develop and administer the Quality Plan (system) for the plant. Update quality manual and procedures manual as appropriate. Assure Brazeways quality system meets or exceeds the expectations of all customers. Assure all plant employees are trained in the quality requirements of their job and the Quality Plan. Monitor the appropriate training and development of quality technicians. Actively participate in planning, projects or improvement teams and support areas of the business as appropriate, including Strategic Plan, APQP, PBL, SQAC, Six Sigma, Corporate Quality Council, 5S+Safety, etc. Lead internal audits as defined in the Quality Plan. Develop and follow through with verified, corrective actions for all non-conformances found. Ensure quality compliance at the plant through monitoring and periodic audits. Recommend and assist in implementing improvements as appropriate. Maintain the inspection system as described in the Quality Plan. This encompasses such functions as approval of incoming material, product testing in the lab, in-process inspection, gage control, and machine capability. Oversee corrective actions taken to assure compliance is maintained. Communicate effectively across the business and externally with customers, providing timely and responses to inquiries, as well as a solid understanding of our products, quality tools and solutions. Resolve external and internal customer complaints in concert with customers, suppliers and appropriate Brazeway personnel in a timely manner. Maintain complete and accurate customer and part quality files. Ensure that all customer quality systems requirements are being followed. Actively supports and manages within Brazeways mission, vision, Code of Conduct, and Process Based Leadership guidelines. Actively supports our 5S + Safety programs.
What a candidate must have to be qualified for the role:
7-10 years directly-related experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive supplier manufacturing experience preferred Prior Quality Management experience required Certified Quality Engineer / Manager preferred Working knowledge of ISO9000 / TS16949 system requirements Knowledge of Six Sigma tools Strong commitment to a team environment
