Position Overview:
This National Account Manager position will be responsible for leveraging their talent, skills and connectivity in building additional construction sector business volume and profits, both personally and with a team as needed. This position and the team will engage potential customers with the unique WaterFleet offerings, successfully communicate the value proposition, and win business. This position will work hand in hand with the Director of Business Development for this area of the business as well as the operations and compliance groups. Ensuring a successful contract negotiation, as well as implementation of products and services will be in the scope of this position.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Lead and execute national sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and market share targets in the construction sector.
Client Acquisition & Business Development: Identify, target, and acquire new clients, including general contractors, architects, subcontractors, and other industry professionals. Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing high-value contracts.
Account Management & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Manage Sales Team: Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to maximize their performance.
Market Analysis: Continuously assess market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies.
Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Lead presentations and negotiations with potential clients, tailoring solutions to meet their construction needs while ensuring profitability for the company.
Bid Management: Oversee and participate in the preparation of proposals, bids, and contracts, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
Reporting & Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline development. Regularly provide updates to senior management on team and individual progress toward targets.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other departments (marketing, operations, project management) to ensure the seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
Industry Networking & Events: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company, expand the professional network, and generate new sales leads.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or related business development areas.
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated success providing products and services in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and related Construction industry.
Established network of contacts within the construction industry.
Previous sales experience in the rental or service industries.
Previous sales experience working with LNGs, solar projects, and data centers.
“Book of business” EPC, GC and Construction Contractors and related client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to relate to client personnel at all levels, from boardroom to field supervision.
Valid US driver’s license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years).
Acceptable background check, clear of DWI convictions, for the last 5 years.
