We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Network Systems Engineer that will lead a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and troubleshooting of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits
Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
Perform systems engineering trade studies
Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
Review and evaluate diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals
Lead a team, with multiple disciplines of engineering, to design a cohesive creditable multiple security domain network, and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment
Qualifications:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Telecommunications, etc.) and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience
Expert knowledge and experience in network (LAN/WAN) design incorporating industry standard security best practices; NIST framework
Expert network engineering experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and LANs/WANs
Expert in routing protocols including RIP, EGIRP, OSPF, and BGP
Certification and Accreditation process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate on government networks
DODAF knowledge
Configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, voice, and video teleconferencing equipment
Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
Experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycle
Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware
Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
Current Top Secret security clearance
Experience with Kubernetes deployment/administration
Experience with SATCOM solutions/protocols
Experience with HAIPE devices is also a plus

Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate (ATO) on government networks DODAF knowledge
Experience working government and/or military programs
