Need reliable transportation. Role will require travel around Greater NJ/NYC region to visit client sites. Mileage and tolls reimbursement (70 cents per mile).
Essential Functions
Complete product installations, including programming Lutron and shading systems, setting up networks, and troubleshooting.
Install audio/video equipment, AV rack fabrication, termination rails, telephone/data jacks, AV plates, CCTV hardware, low voltage wiring, and universal remotes.
Demonstrate proficiency with networks, routers, firewalls, and WIFI access points.
Understand control system design (Crestron, Lutron, Control 4, Savant) for audio/video signal flow, lighting, shades, and video subsystems.
Read and follow CAD documentation for trim and final equipment installation.
Terminate low voltage wires (Cat5/6, Fiber, HD, HDMI, phone, data, cable, video) and assist in prewire stage.
Use power tools, read a tape measure, use a hammer, various screwdrivers, and understand tool usage.
Report daily to Field Supervisor and Project Manager on installation progress.
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and assist Lead Tech/Installer.
Interact professionally with clientele and trade partners.
Write clear work order reports using project software daily.
Maintain a safe work environment; OSHA 30 & SST certification mandatory.
Clean and prep work vans, move/prepare equipment in warehouse and project sites.
Follow up on returns with Service & Project Managers for RMA purposes.
Establish positive relationships with general contractors, trade partners, clients, and client representatives.
Provide client tutorials upon installation completion and prepare documentation.
Attend team meetings to convey strategic priorities.
Train or recommend training to Field Supervisor and/or Operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or Technical School preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
SST NYC Certification preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
5 years in a key role in the technology industry.
Proven track record in control systems and integration services.
Highly computer literate with strong understanding of technology's role in business success.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in confined areas, lift 75 lbs. or more, and use ladders at heights of 6+ feet.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Punctual attendance.
Ability to relate to diverse communities.
Ability to work under pressure, maintain calm demeanor, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
Proficiency with Control Systems (Crestron, Lutron, Extron, Control 4, Savant Systems).
Certified OSHA 30 and SST requirement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
