Description: Sr. Program Controls Analyst - Planner/Scheduler

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Program Planner/Scheduler to join our high-tech team developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. This role involves developing a multi-year plan to produce customer deliverables and supporting the Execution Areas with standard and custom reports.
Responsibilities:
Review customer contracts, statements-of-work, and contract requirements to develop a schedule plan.
Communicate the plan to the program team.
Collaborate with Control Account Managers (CAM) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to determine resource needs.
Lead the development and implementation of the program baseline to meet Earned Value Management (EVM) System Description requirements.
Manage the schedule effort for Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR).
Analyze schedules and issue customer and management schedule reports.
Serve as the scheduling subject matter expert for a portfolio of programs.
Facilitate scheduling discussions to create project schedules and determine relationships with other projects.
Assist technical experts in establishing milestones and monitor adherence to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Recommend and lead scheduling best practices and process improvements.
Align programs and operations with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives.
Support the Program Management Office in achieving business objectives.
Develop programmatic opportunities/risks and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate planning and setting of the baseline across the portfolio.
Perform "what-if" scenarios for schedules as issues arise.
Manage detailed production schedules and ensure integration with the IMS.
Plan and coordinate proposal work within the portfolio.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and company.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
BS degree in a related field plus 8+ years of related experience.
Higher-level degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of experience each.
Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience developing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs using Microsoft Project.
5+ years of experience working in an earned value environment.
Ability to engage with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity dependencies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
Experience in proposal schedule development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
Aerospace and Defense experience.
Experience working in a Microsoft Project Server environment.
