Business Solutions/Automation Specialist - Risk Management

As a Business Solutions/Automation Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in automating the business processes of our Risk Management Validation Team, making them more efficient, effective, and streamlined. In this entry-level position, you will not only provide technical support to the team but also help design and implement innovative solutions for the team's unique challenges. What the Position Entails:
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand/identify gaps and opportunities in the current processes and gather detailed requirements to help design and build appropriate technology-based solutions that enhance our risk model validation processes.
Employing technical and project management skills to help us create solutions that address business requirements while ensuring alignment with the organizational goals.
Working with end users to facilitate QA testing by defining test cases and validating that solutions function as per business requirements.
Utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., Python, SQL, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, etc.) to streamline and enhance our model validation process by developing both ad hoc and standardized reports for internal and external client use.
Working with the validation team on the design, documentation, and implementation of the team's automated work routines.
Effectively communicate project objectives, status, and expectations with the team, team management, and other cross-functional departments within DCG.
Experience/Skills You Bring to the Role:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field
Organizational skills, a passion for documentation, and strong interpersonal communication skills
Exposure to/or experience in at least some of the following:
SQL
Python
Microsoft Technology Stack/Power Platform or other low-code tools
Power BI or similar report writing experience
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Curiosity about our current workflow processes and an interest in helping us improve them
The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience/Skills that would be a Plus:
Internship(s) in a related field (i.e., software as a service, tech consulting, or a Fintech environment)
CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Relational Database Management
Understanding of system design, development, support, testing, and documentation
Familiarity of Feathery, Lucid charts, VBA, Tableau, and/or Power Query
Exposure to JavaScript, Rest API integration, Agile development
Interest in banking, risk analysis, and/or financial modeling
