This exciting role will be responsible for designing and implementing the manufacturing equipment processes and procedures. A solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and products will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Gooding, ID area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of agricultural and dairy equipment. Responsibilities:
Design mechanical and hydraulic products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods and studying customer requirements.
Provide Engineering support to all areas of the business, such as Production, Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Inventory, Marketing, etc.
Create and maintain bills of materials and manufacturing routings.
Review and mark up new and existing engineering drawings and engineering specifications for products.
Design and develop new products.
Design and Develop production tooling.
Helps mechanical drafters develop the structural design of products using drafting and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.) is required.
3-5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience is required.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software) is required.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in welding and welding design preferred.
A solid understanding of mechanical systems, electromechanical systems, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
