About the Company - A well-established Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing company that specializes in cutting edge technology in the Circuit Card Assembly, integration, and test space is looking for a Director of Engineering to join their team in the Seymour, CT office.

About the Role - The Engineering Director will oversee a team of 10 direct reports + 20 indirect, including Engineering, Documentation Control, Programming, Testing, Process Engineering, and Technicians. Your responsibilities include driving process improvements (with a focus on Documentation Control, Engineering, Manufacturing) using root cause analysis and DFM reports, mentorship of your division, communicating with customers and internal departments. On a regular basis, you may research industry trends and inform leadership on ways to keep ahead of the technology curve, collaborate with the VP of Business Development to support sales efforts, and support Program Management to meet customer needs. You will lead the efforts in staying cutting edge, and will use your technical expertise to solve complex problems. The ideal candidate will have experience with SMT equipment, AutoCAD/Solidworks, and have experience with Reflow profiles, design stencils, and selective/wave solder processes. We are interested in current Directors or Managers looking to step into a Director Position.

Qualifications - Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field

Required Skills

  • 10+ years' experience in PCB/SMT manufacturing, including Management
  • 5+ years in new product introductions
  • Client-facing experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lead change and manage projects

Preferred Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Pay range and compensation package - $180,000 - $220,000; Paid relocation
