Job Summary:

Chubb Tempest Re USA LLC Management and Professional Liability group is seeking an AVP, Underwriter to assist in growing a suite of Professional Liability products, focusing on D&O, Miscellaneous Professional and Medical Malpractice Liability. Primary responsibilities will include underwriting new and renewal business, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients. You will work in a team environment, demonstrate a strong customer focus that will expand Chubb Tempest Re's brand. This position is a full-time role and reports directly to the SVP, Professional Liability located in Stamford, CT.

Roles & Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Risks Assessment Performing pricing analysis including oversight of broker submissions and coordinate with actuaries with respects to submission specifications and information. Ability to identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls. Ability to select risk based on exposure and risk analysis. Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses.
• Ability to understand loss trends, loss triangles, and ratemaking. Ability to quantify risk based on experience history.
• Work with Contracts in the review of treaty contract wordings to ensure they meet company requirements
• Work collaboratively as well as independently and make referrals as required
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with financial lines peers, leaders and internal partners across functional areas.
• Foster and maintain external relationships with brokers to market and sell products.
• Stay on top of trends and developments within the space.
• Participate in team projects and perform other duties as assigned.
