The Director of Strategy and Innovation will partner with senior leaders across the company to manage and drive LocumTenens.com's large, annual strategic initiatives and corporate innovation projects. This role will provide structure and accountability that bridge thoughtful strategy, detailed planning, and disciplined execution for strategic projects. The role requires strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, the ability to breakdown and redesign processes, as well as the capability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects. This role will lead cross-functional teams to drive key organizational projects that will result in both short and long-term growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Strategy Execution - 50%
Manages portfolio of projects including designing objectives, work plans, and metrics to achieve business goals.
Works directly with senior leaders across a variety of functions to manage and drive successful completion of strategic business initiatives.
Leads cross-functional teams and ensure all work is coordinated. Works across multiple teams to deliver a holistic solution.
Supports change management activities for stakeholders to drive adoption and achieve project goals.
Produces executive level communications including regular project updates.
Advises and makes recommendations to business leaders on key strategic and tactical decisions.
Supports annual strategic exercises including strategic planning and developing strategy communications
Process Mapping & Redesign - 30%
Facilitates process workshops to identify, analyze, and document existing processes.
Develops detailed process maps and workflows to visualize current operations and identify inefficiencies.
Engages key stakeholders to gather requirements, align objectives, and ensure buy-in for process improvements.
Proposes and implements process redesigns aimed at improving efficiency, customer experience, and optimizing resource allocation.
Team Management - 20%
Manages project management resources, providing guidance and oversight to uphold project management routines and best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Directs and motivates associates to achieve desired goals
Interviews and selects candidates for hire
Maintains the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team
Conducts annual performance evaluations; coaches associates to maximum performance
Participates in annual Succession Planning and Talent Review pre-planning
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)
May work on special projects or other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY
Manages 1 non-exempt direct report
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in related discipline.
Master's degree in Business or previous experience in consulting and/or strategy.
May substitute 10+ years of subject matter experience in place of Master's.
