Key Responsibilities:
Carrier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential carriers.
Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, capacity, and changes in the logistics industry to make informed decisions.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance metrics and resolve any issues related to service or capacity.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, procurement, operations, to align carrier capabilities with business needs.
Reporting: Prepare reports on carrier performance, sourcing activities, and market trends to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
Experience: 4+ years of experience in carrier sales dealing with drayage ( must have extensive drayage experience)
Skills: Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
