Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential carriers.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, capacity, and changes in the logistics industry to make informed decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance metrics and resolve any issues related to service or capacity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, procurement, operations, to align carrier capabilities with business needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on carrier performance, sourcing activities, and market trends to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in carrier sales dealing with drayage ( must have extensive drayage experience)
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
