To support the continued growth of the finance organization, Astro
Shapes is seeking to hire a new Director of FP&A to lead and
professionalize the function, aiming to refine and enhance core FP&A
processes while optimizing data analytics tools and systems to drive
strategic decision-making. This leader will support the company's
continued growth and emerging M&A initiatives. This is a high visibility
role within the organization who will act as the "right hand" to the CFO
and have a significant amount of investor exposure their sponsor, Wynnchurch Capital. Key responsibilities below: • Process Improvement. Adapt and improve the core FP&A processes and organizational capabilities to support the scale and future growth of the company. Implement these processes for daily use and training. Provide strategic leadership for the FP&A function, setting overall goals, priorities, and initiatives. Develop frameworks to support functional growth objectives. • Planning and Budgeting. Build financial models and scenario planning for long-term financial performance projections. Build budgets- including developing targets and considering "what-if" scenarios for revenue, pricing, and costs. Build forecasts and assess risks for both P&L and cash flow. Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes, including expense budgets, working capital, cash flow estimates and scenario analyses. • Performance Analysis. Run performance variance analyses against budgets and forecasts with root cause explanations. Develop and assess commercial, operations, and working capital analyses. Perform ROI analyses for assets, staff additions, and restructuring. Assist in the preparation of materials for senior management, investors, and regular BOD financial meetings. • Data Analytics. Provide consistency around routine data analysis as well as ongoing improvement and optimization utilizing existing systems to drive strategic decision making. • M&A Support. In partnership with the CFO, help support pre-transaction analysis and post-transaction integration of acquisitions. Support will include target financial statement analysis, synergy case building, financial projections, and coordinating resources with the rest of the finance department. • Change Management. Identify and be a change agent for processes, improvement, automation, and operational efficiency within FP&A to enhance the effectiveness and value-add for the function. • Team Leadership. Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
