Reports To: Director of Materials & Logistics (TN)
Primary duties will include:
Design & Development: • Collaborate with Product Development (PD) and Engineering teams to understand furniture specifications and design requirements. • Create detailed sketches and blueprints to guide sample production.
Material Selection: • Choose appropriate fabrics, foams, and upholstery materials that meet quality and durability standards. • Ensure materials align with design specifications and production feasibility.
Sample Construction: • Assist in cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric and foam components. • Use hand tools and machinery to shape frames and structural elements.
Quality Control & Refinement: • Inspect completed samples for accuracy, craftsmanship, and adherence to design specifications. • Make necessary adjustments to improve quality and ensure samples meet production standards.
Documentation & Process Improvement: • Maintain detailed records of materials, construction methods, and modifications. • Work closely with production teams to ensure samples can be efficiently replicated in mass production. • Provide feedback on design and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality. • Other duties as assigned

Preferred education: • High School diploma is preferred, GED required. • We will consider additional experience in lieu of diploma.
The essential physical & environmental requirements of the position are: • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment, heat and cold. • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. • Ability to stand prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance. • Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them. • Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
