Post-Contract Award, this Estimator's primary responsibility/role will be to assist the Preconstruction & Procurement Department Team in the verification of post-bid quantities/take-offs/front end activities required to be purchased or completed to start the project. Additional responsibilities will be inclusive of but not limited to; product research, subcontractor and supplier solicitation, generating subcontract terms and conditions, evaluating production rates, and providing accurate financial forecasts.
Participates in Estimate strategy planning.
Performs quantity take-offs.
Provides verification of take-offs by support staff.
HCSS estimate entry.
Assists in HCSS database administration.
Participates in bid reviews.
Familiarity with subcontractor acquisition, scope verification, and negotiation.
Provides product research and data input.
Attends client pre-bid meetings and job showings, visit job sites, and maintains a record of all verbal information disseminated by the client during the pre-bid meeting and job showing.
Has the ability to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years experience in either estimating, construction management and/or executive level construction role.
Proficiency in Agtek, Bluebeam, HCSS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to perform detailed take-offs for the following work types: CIP & Precast Concrete, Structural, Earth Work, Utilities, and Mechanical Process.
Familiar with reading heavy civil construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.
Familiar with juggling many tasks at the same time.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
