Job Overview

The Development Program Management (DPM) team plays a central role in advancing Genmab's drug development portfolio by supporting cross-functional program execution, project planning, and strategic decision-making. We collaborate with teams across Research, Translational Science, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and others to ensure seamless execution of development programs.

We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in early and late drug development project management. This role will provide insight into strategic program planning, governance processes, and operational excellence within a dynamic biotech company.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will work alongside Development Program Managers (DPMs) to support the execution of drug development programs by:


  • Assisting in the development and tracking of project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones across cross-functional teams.

  • Supporting the facilitation of program team meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and action item follow-ups.

  • Supporting cross-functional coordination and communication with core and sub-teams

  • Collaborating with project teams to gather and analyze program data, ensuring alignment with development strategy and goals.

  • Contributing to the creation of presentation materials and reports for senior leadership and governance committees.

  • Assisting in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, team collaboration, and other Project Management tools and best practices.

  • Gaining exposure to program governance, decision-making frameworks, and drug development processes from early to late-stage development.

This role provides firsthand experience in biotech project management and drug development, offering an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Genmab's mission.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Interest in drug development, clinical development, and program management.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Preferred:


  • Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field

  • Previous experience or coursework in project management, clinical research, or some aspect of drug development is a plus.

  • Some understanding of biopharmaceutical industry processes (e.g., clinical development phases, CMC, regulatory pathways, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

General Intern Information

Internships will take place June through August, 2025. This role will be based in Plainsboro, NJ and operate on a required hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
