Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Logistics and Customer Partnerships

Location: Westlake Village, CA

The Role

Support Transportation Department and Managers in daily reporting, tracking, and coordination of Import/Export and Logistics program activities. Provide support on company projects for the Transportation Department. Enhance the import and domestic transportation functions by providing a strong, well-rounded administrative skill set and work ethic. Occasional overtime may be required. Manages a high volume of work in a moderately pressured, but friendly environment. Attention to detail and sense of urgency is critical. Must manage conflicting priorities of various people you support through excellent time management and excellent internal communication.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

1. Logistics Management - Support the Direct Ship and Import programs through record collection and validation, contribution to guidelines and manuals, coordinate transportation from port to door. Develop understanding of customer expectations and requirements to support program success.

2. Administration - Work with internal groups and external vendors to deliver, track and report status of import containers. Coordinate between entities to monitor shipment data and provide root cause insights into issues. Assist in data gathering in support of KPI analysis. Support publishing of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that relate to incoming and forecasted shipments. Provide necessary visibility to all parties in support of meaningful metrics for cross-functioning performance.

3. Reporting - Work closely with third-party billing partners for successful invoice processing, GL Coding and monitoring of freight costs Partner with Logistics Analysts and other Imports team members to understand assumptions and cost trends

4. Support - Provides administrative support for other department managers as necessary. Assists in other clerical, administrative and special projects when necessary.

Who You Are

Knowledge of supply chain logistics/distribution concepts and practices; preferably in US Retail to include footwear retailers

Experience working effectively in complex organizations, satisfying the needs of cross functional teams, and often working under the pressure of competing priorities

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write/create reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

  • Demonstrated ability with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ability to navigate through specific web pages and retrieve reports to be handled in Excel

  • Ability to effectively share information and respond to questions from groups of managers and vendors

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Fluent in English

  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities

  • Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

  • Ability to understand the priorities of numerous individuals in the context of the overall team and to prioritize own work accordingly, while maintaining excellent communications with respect to timelines for completing assignments

$26 - $28

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Westlake Village, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
