Location: Bloomfield, CT

Must live locally, will not relocate

Salary Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Coworx Staffing Services is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for our client in Bloomfield, CT!

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed progressive dies and/or molds. The ideal candidate will have strong metalworking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate metalworking tools, including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Repair, maintain, debug, and troubleshoot dies, molds, and related machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, part prints, and geometric tolerances.
• Utilize inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.) to ensure product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Train and mentor tool room apprentices.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in geometric tolerancing and quality control.
• Knowledge of tool steels and heat-treatment properties.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineers and machinists.
• Experience with EDM, HSM, and CAD software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education & Experience:

• 4- of experience, OR
• 5-10 years of experience as a progressive die or mold maker.
• Potential apprentices should have trade school experience or precision machining coursework, OR 12-18 months of shop experience.
• Needs a journeyman license in tooling
