About the Role - To help us drive excellence, as an Industrial Engineer, you'll get to:
Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities.
Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.
Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and colleagues to improve efficiency of operations.
Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine effective utilization of the work force and the equipment.
Oversee the technical aspects of an engineering project from conception to completion, including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets and timelines, solving technical problems, ensuring quality standards are met, and supervising the work of contractors and engineers to deliver a project successfully within specified parameters.
Recommend methods for improving efficiency of the work force and reducing waste of materials, equipment and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
Coordinate new work and engineering changes to assure that operational needs are achieved and jobs meet engineering standards.
Understand machine throughput analysis, as well as capacity planning.
Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, etc.)
Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
Leadership Responsibilities - Ability to identify, select, train and coach engineering talent. Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.
Qualifications - Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum three (3) years of related technical, hands on experience.
Required Skills - Evidence of working knowledge of formal problem solving techniques such as Kaizen, value stream mapping, JIT synchronous, SMED quick die change, etc. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Project Planning using timelines, resource allocation, cost estimates, etc. Demonstrated expertise in production assembly environments, with a focus on efficiency, precision, and adherence to quality standards. Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced work environment. Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
