Job Description:

Ruskin, an Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to support their damper business. The Sales Application Engineer will provide assistance to customers by providing product knowledge, pricing assistance, and overall customer satisfaction. They will be responsible for supporting the sales channel representatives of Ruskin. This will include technical support, working cross-functionally with internal departments, and development of quotes.

What You'll Do:
  • Communicate with customers to define specific needs required for product compatibility and coordinate these requirements with other disciplines within the organization.
  • Responsible for customer purchase order execution, internal pricing clarification, order write-up for order entry, clarification with engineering for construction, addressing of customer concerns during fabrication, and resolving of post-sale technical questions during installation, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Review drawings, plans, schedules, engineering specifications and other customer documents to develop and prepare quotations or assist customers with pricing.
  • Conduct technical trainings in person or via a webinar to customers on proper application of the products.
  • Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on product features, applications, best practices, and selection software.
  • Collaboration with order entry, engineering, product management, and regional sales manager teams to ensure alignment of applications and order processing with customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Look For:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.
  • 1- 2 years of relevant engineering experience required. HVAC industry experience or knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency using MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong technical aptitude and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time to respective manufacturing plants or customer representative offices for training, open houses, and trade shows.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear or smell. The employee is sometimes required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is also regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration.
