Department: The Department of Citywide Administrative Services ("DCAS")
SCOPE OF WORK:
Under the IT leadership, responsible for the maintenance of the current IPIS mainframe systems, support the management of data and processes to ensure system is operational for all users, Support the extracting of data as text files from mainframe applications using various programs, Conduct data transport from Mainframe to Windows server text files using UC4 file transfer, and Load data into CRM/Dynamics 365 from SQL servers, troubleshoot any system feature issues, and processes to ensure ongoing system operation.
The candidate is to also support the transition from mainframe legacy system to new acres system by collaborating with internal resources, consultants and business users to ensure a smooth transition into new system. Candidate will participate in system analysis, system design, and requirements sessions as needed.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience transitioning legacy systems into new technology
Full software lifecycle experience from requirements through implementation and production support
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on with SQL server
Demonstrate technical understanding of data and technical database design.
Desirable Skills
Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and other performance and troubleshooting tools.
Experience in system and data mapping and conversion preferred.
Any experience with COBOL, SAS, REXX, or .NET may be helpful.
Experience using project SharePoint and/or MS OneDrive site for project artifacts.
