Job Description: • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes • Review system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups • Maintain a robust security posture with Firewalls, monitoring tools, secure VPN, IDS/IPS etc. • Maintain and operate multiple email servers on Windows and Linux servers. • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. • Configure system CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. • Manage and administer O365 (cloud), MS Exchange (on-prem), MS Office • Work with Active Directory (GPOs etc.) to create, change, and delete user accounts per request. • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirement. • Serve as primary escalation point for incident tickets from Level 1 Service Desk • Apply systems and security patches to all workstations and servers in accordance with established policies and procedures • Use remote desktop tools to troubleshoot escalated incidents and to deploy and remove local applications • Maintain and operate a data backup and recovery solution for corporate infrastructure • Provide on-site system administration for COTS applications • Manage updates to hardware and software to maintain currency as well as the overall data center administration requirements • Develop and maintain company websites (WordPress, HTML) • Train and guide junior sys admin on hardware and software usage. • Manage corporate IT Service Management (ticketing) systems. • Support ISO 9K, 20K, 27K, NIST 800-171 and CMMC certifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Education: • AA/AS degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems or Equivalent and 3 to 5 years relevant experience as a systems administrator OR High School diploma and 5 to 8 years relevant experience as a systems administrator • Must have CompTIA Security+ certification or obtain within 3 months of hire
Experience: • Hyper V Virtual Machines (Required) • Windows servers 2019+ (Required) • Active Directory (GPOs) (Required) • Firewalls and VPN architecture (Required) (Fortigate Firewall & VPN, FortiEMS and FortiClient preferred) • O365 Online (Cloud based) and MS Office (Required) • Network switches and configuration (Required) (Forti switches preferred) • VLAN and local network configuration and maintenance (Required) • Mentoring junior SA in complex SA tasks (Required) • MS Exchange (Required) • WordPress, HTML (Preferred) • SharePoint online (Preferred) • Wireless access points (Preferred) • Knowledge of ITIL service management (Preferred) • Experience with ISO 9K, 20K and 27K (Preferred) • Experience with SharePoint online (Preferred)
